Baby takes another bite. “If I find out you’ve been hoarding the good shit for your little love lunches, I will riot.”
Romance’s brush itches with the urge to mark today in the log. Abby: opportunistic dog. Also: surprisingly competent cook.
Later that night, when they’re all mostly asleep and the embers are low, Romance catches a glimpse of Abby slinking back into the kitchen. Refilling a tiny side dish. Leaving it outside Jinu’s door.
Just a loyal mutt, living off scraps of attention.
