Upset that Alya continues to run headlong into akuma attacks, Nino tries talking to her (once again), but (once again) Alya's not hearing it. It turns into an argument— the worst they've had— which is mostly Alya's fault, and Nino's been ignoring her since.
It's been two weeks.
Alya's ready to apologize now, but she needs a gesture, not just words, to patch this one up... She decides to appeal to his Romantic sensibilities, just this once.

"wHY is this one in charge?" Chloé immediately springs from her seat. She points a disdainful finger down at the girl a seat in front of her and Alya resists the powerful urge to turn around and bend the finger backwards.
Mendeleiev answers the question bluntly. "Alya has shown herself to be a focused, responsible, and ethical scientist. And she had the highest score on the anatomy lesson that preceded this lab. I trust her to report on your behavior honestly and be able to answer most of your questions."
Chloé pouts and sits back down.
"I won't be gone that long, just sit tight and don't do anything foolish."
Then she grabs her lanyard and steps out the door.
…and the foolishness begins.

A retelling in the style of historical fiction and fantasy, Auradon Imperia retells the narrative of the Descendants trilogy with greater faith to the animated Disney films and characters that inspired the descendants featured within the films with a revised and expanded history and lore. As ambassadors for the Isle of the Lost and the first foray into an emancipation edict, the four come to the United Kingdoms of Auradon on the European continent under the supervision of Grand Princess Belle, the headmistress of the Royal Preparatory Academy in her husband's kingdom of Gascaine. There, they are taught alongside the future monarchs and scions of the United Kingdoms, and seek to figure out whether they want to follow in their parent's footsteps, follow a new path, or try and toe the line of the moral grey area.

All their lives, Jack and Elsa have clung to their humanity to be included, to stay safe, and to protect the ones they love. It's hard to explain being lonely even when you're no longer alone. Will a chance encounter bring these kindred souls closer to being known.

Elsa definitely died in Autohallen and became an immortal spirit. She was also expecting another being like her and would have to deal with the blow of there being no one once everything settles down. I also think she's super powerful and we only see her scratch the surface of her abilities. Jack is the guardian of fun but his magic belongs to a very brutal element and I like the duality of his character in contrast with the other guardians.
This is a slow burn Jelsa fic because it takes a hot minute for them to meet. It is Canon compliant so they're not meeting until after the events of Guardians and they have a lot of character development to go through first (don't worry, a lot of it is summarized).
