Summary
As her eyes connect with his from across the crowded bar, her earlier conversation with Chili runs through her head.
“Oh. My. God. A call like that, all that intensity?” Chili whispers gleefully with a grin. “I’ve seen it a million times. Somebody’s totally hooking up tonight.”
“Huh, what? No,” Sylvie scoffs.
Her partner's grin is positively gleeful. “Volcanoes need to let off steam, and this place has been a volcano for weeks. Trust me.”
Hermann’s voice calling out from the common room on the other side of the glass interrupts them. “Hey! Okay, as much as it pains me, everybody gets one free drink at Molly’s today.” The room explodes with cheers and laughter as Brett and Chili step around the wall to join them.
When he tips his head towards the door with a question painted across his face, she doesn’t think twice before rising from her seat...
