The bride was lovely. And the groom was overwhelmed by all the lace, flowers, and pageantry that went on with the ceremony.
Stede Bonnet lay, working over the day in his mind as the moonlight shone through the window, spilling onto the bed. Somewhere next to him Ed stirred. From the room next door came a soft moan. It was evidence that the bride and groom were consummating their vows. A warm hand touched Stede’s hip and he looked back over his shoulder at his mate.

Spanish Jackie’z bar never looked better than it did on that night. Perhaps someone had washed the windows, but the light was just right. It made dappled patterns of light on the floor.
Stede Bonnet twirled, satisfied that his mauve frock coat fanned out around him with his turn. Careful to keep his balance on his heels, he posed for the benefit of everyone.
Then he heard her. She stood just where the light came into the room from an old, dusty window. “God, what have you done? You’re a pink pony girl. And you dance at the club.”

“What?” Ed, like always, was oblivious to his appearance and how it affected Stede.
Casually Ed trudged up to the bank of the river they were using to bathe in. Today was “Beat Your Clothes Against A Rock” day. And both were naked in the sun after a bath.
No one would chance upon them. They were a fair distance up river, away from the path that led to their inn, in a place they designated as their personal swimming hole.

They came together like a ship crashing into the rocks. The light from Stede’s lighthouse was quickly fading, and Ed found that he didn’t really care at that moment, that he was shipwrecked. The way their bodies fit together as Stede desperately clung to Ed, overwhelmed Ed’s senses and Ed was suddenly aroused.

“What did they mean?” Stede asked Ed quietly. They sat together on the quarter deck, staring out at the ocean. It was a quiet, unguarded moment. And Stede was curious.
“What? Who?” Ed asked.
“Mary and Anne… About…” Stede held up his hands and wiggled his fingers.
“What? Oh!” Ed chuckled softly as he held up his own hands and wiggled his fingers in response. “Yes… Well… Erm…” Setting his hands back down at his sides, he cocked his head to the side as he regarded Stede’s continued finger wiggles. “A handy?”
