Summary
Wild finds a pearl earring. It's pretty, so he wears it.
It almost costs him his life.
Wild's curse puts him one wound away from death at all times. His only chance to survive is to break it, but first he needs to live long enough to do it. The chain struggles to adapt, to cope, and to prepare for the worst to happen without losing hope.
Wild's only job is to survive.
And it's getting harder.

The Chain is outnumbered, outpaced, and out of time. As the castle gates rise and monsters close in, Wild falls back - bow in hand and too many enemies to count. Survival isn’t guaranteed. Neither is backup.

Summary
They were in a bad, bad spot for an earthquake. A landslip could easily conceal the entrance to the dungeon. Hell, he wasn’t even sure if this cavernous area could withstand an earthquake.
A few more seconds went by. Legend and Wild remained frozen, listening.
The rumbling continued, like a growl, like a grindstone at work.
“We should go.” Wild whispered. His voice echoed and drowned at the same time. The room felt like the inside of a drum.
Legend felt a chill. Not for the first time, he wondered if this dungeon would be his tomb. -

Summary
FCG is in front of an off-white wooden door. They try to roll back and turn their head, but they are fixed in place. They are startled by a movement - a hand rising into their field of vision.
The door glides open smoothly, revealing a room filled with light. A potted plant grows lush in the corner. There are bookshelves peeking into the periphery of FCG’s vision. Before the door stands an Automaton, tall and silver with a soft matte texture. The Automaton is wearing a thick woven white coat with fine finishings, embroidered with a silver symbol. FCG doesn’t recognise it, but their mind whispers that it has meaning.
The silver Automaton smiles.
“It’s good to see you, Care. It’s been a while!”

Summary
The last words hit like a blade.
The pages whispered - no, screamed a confession with exhaustion. Grief drawn out so long it had hardened into something sharp. The lone entry written by a heart with more pain than any boy should carry. Each word had stripped away another layer of the brave face Wild wore each day. Another fracture in the smile he carried.
