    The Avengers were looking for someone to help Loki fit in with the team. To become socially acceptable, so to speak. He had been given the choice of sitting in a cell in Asgard or serving some sort of community service probation on Midgard. The Avengers and Shield both felt that as long as Loki was on Earth, he should be under supervision.

    This is now your job. Why? Because you’re a witch. You’re not sure why this qualifies you, but here you are, giving it a shot. What could possibly go wrong?

    Dream had a thing about ink. Tattoo ink to be exact, and the masterpieces it became. The way it turned the blank canvas of an irritating, ugly person into something unique and beautiful, something he wanted to run his hands over and worship. Tracing lines embedded in skin with featherlight fingers until the skin beneath them was sensitive and covered in goose flesh, eliciting whines and sighs from lips that he would probably never kiss again after whatever particular night it was ended.

    Sapnap called it a kink but Dream liked to think of it as a deep appreciation for an underrated art. And if it gave him a job, a passion, something to spend his time doing and be happy about doing it? Just another plus. If, of course, he could find a shop to hire him for more than a few weeks.

    You see, Dream refused to do any work he considered beneath him. Not hearts and barbed wire, no names of girlfriends or boyfriends, nothing so overdone and usually regretted by the time the high of nightlife and drunk love evaporated into the morning sun.

    If only he could find a parlor that shared his standards, life would be so much easier.

    Sapnap finds himself hugging back, arms winding around Dream’s neck as he lets himself indulge in the warmth of his arms. He buries his face in Dream’s neck, inhaling the citrusy scent of the body scrub that the older man loves so much. He allows himself to curl his fingers around the dirty blond strands at the nape of Dream’s neck, barely registering the words that the taller man is muttering into his shoulder.

    “Everything’s gonna be fucking amazing.”

    Sapnap wishes he could confidently say the same.

    George is finally coming to Florida and Sapnap is worried that everything will change.

    Their paths begin to align and their feelings start to intertwine, but violence and hatred threaten to tear them apart.

    Will Dream challenge everything he’s ever known? Will he fight against his friends and family for love? Will George break down his protective walls to let Dream in? Will he allow himself to fall in love with an East?

    Will they risk their lives and the lives of their friends for each other, or will their paths be severed forever?
