Summary
A ghost wanders the House of Dormont, unseen by all but three. Clad in white hat and cloak, they seem unaware of the world around them, acting so unlike its presence.

Summary
The Archivist was silent for a moment. “I led prey to them,” they replied. “I helped them hunt. I asked for a story in return, but they didn’t want to give one, so they brought me to you instead.”
He smiled at that, wide and angry in the dark, clenching his teeth until he could imagine the taste of blood. “Did they, now.”

Summary
They help, is the thing. They show up, and they help, and then they disappear.
I guess that’s why I want it to be true. It’d be nice if it was true, if—if these things are changing for the worse, but there’s someone out there. Helping. It’s, uh. Reassuring, I guess.
Maybe it’s stupid. Maybe it’s pointless and I’m just chasing after empty hope and wishful thinking. This stuff is only getting more dangerous. But… that’s the thing, isn’t it? It’s getting more dangerous. More people are getting hurt, or worse. More people are going to get hurt.
So maybe we could all do with a little hope.
---The tether is cut, and another world changes. In the midst of encroaching horrors, Gerard Keay searches for answers.
