Summary
Harry Potter was having a terrible day.
Harry was no stranger to a terrible day. Once he’d realised that the other kids in his Primary class didn’t have the same kind of life as he did, pretty much every day had been terrible. Sometimes he wishes he’d never realised that there was something wrong with his life, with him. It would make things easier.
Of course, learning that he was a wizard, and that if there’s something wrong with him, it’s something cool like magic that he shares with others, made him feel a little better. Well, actually, learning that he’s a wizard was the best day he’d ever had.

Summary
Despite what some might think, it actually happened years ago—the curse, as Arthur’s been calling it, albeit halfheartedly. Because really, it hasn’t been all that bothersome. Honestly, after it happened, after a rogue sorcerer snuck into his chambers to cast a spell on him in his sleep before Arthur ran a sword through him, it took him a while to even recognize that he had it—his new ability.
He already knew he had a propensity to be able to tell when people were being dishonest. One has to, when one is attempting to navigate politics from such a high-ranking position, when one is expected to inherit so much power. Arthur was trained to fight since birth, in all senses of the word, and as he’s slowly come to learn since he’s gained this ability, violence often comes long before a single sword is drawn, like a flash of lightning before the sound of thunder.

Summary
“Stop thinking so hard, or you’re going to bleed.”
Surely it couldn’t be—wasn’t his Pack supposed to be duking things out with vampires right now? But a very solid and reassuring hand squeezed his own. Grounding him. Holding on, as if to drain away his pain.
There was only one person who always did this whenever he got hurt.
“Derek?” Stiles whispered, his voice raw and scratchy.

[Or: A mission goes horribly wrong, and Stiles finally figures out where he stands with Derek.]
