“You know,” Sara said suddenly, “I think you might be my first friend.”
“.... p-pft,” Ayaka sputtered, choking on her laughter, “Really?”
“Why are you laughing at me?!” Sara demanded, blushing again – it was starting to become endearing, this earnest bumbling once-general trying her best. Less annoying, more charming instead.
“I only had my brothers growing up,” Sara explained, waving her hands, “I didn't get much chance to make friends so -”
“N-No,” Ayaka laughed, shaking her head, “I didn't mean to laugh, it's just a little unexpected is all. But it's... charming.”
“Charming,” Sara said, looking like she was seconds away from flipping the board over and storming away in an embarrassed huff.
