There is no good goddamn reason that it should have heat pooling in his stomach, his dick twitching with instant interest inside of his boxer shorts, his heart already doing stupid little somersaults at the mere thought of getting to see Derek, of getting to be near him.
Regardless. He’s still out of the apartment and huddled into the backseat of a cab within minutes.
Booty calling your ex-boyfriend might be a bad idea, but it's not like Stiles' heart can break any more than it has already, anyway.

Peter cringed his nose. “No. It would make you a proper, civilized man. You are getting too old, nephew.”
“Fine. But I’ll choose.”
“No,” Peter smiled. “I shall choose.” Derek opened his mouth to argue, but Peter did not let him. “We both know you will continue to fuck whomever you want. None of us will be able to stop you. Let me have a pick of a proper spouse to placate the court. That’s all I ask.”

“We can’t just leave him here to die.”
“He’s an emissary, Scott.” Derek tried to make his tone empathetic, but Scott’s tendency to fight back on everything always grated on his nerves. “His pack is gone, he won’t survive more than a day or two either way.”
“Then we should stay with him.”
Derek sighed as he studied the man for a moment; he was too pale against the fur rim of his hood, almost grey from lying out in the snow, and his cloak was stained with dark dried blood around a protruding arrow shaft. It was unlikely he would even last the night. They would probably be able to carry on in the morning with little time lost, if any.
It wasn’t a horrible idea, Derek decided reluctantly. They hadn’t been able to set up a real camp for a few weeks in the open foothills, and they were all on edge from sleeping in exposed areas. A defensible place to sleep would be good for them, even if they were surrounded by death. They would be able to give the pack proper burials, at the very least.
“Fine. One night,” Derek relented, already moving away to check on Isaac. “He’s your responsibility.”

Summary
Stiles cracked open the door to the tiny New York apartment he shared with Derek after another night of striking out at the club. Moping at home was infinitely preferable to sitting at a bar watching other people celebrate another damned trip around the sun. On New Year’s Eve, no less.
Dour thoughts dogged him as he quietly snuck back into the apartment. Sure, Derek was probably in bed, or partying, but still, Stiles crept all the same. Sometimes, he came home to find Derek asleep on the pull-out couch Stiles used as a bed. When he was lucky, and he wasn’t often lucky, he’d steal the blanket from Derek’s room and sleep on the floor. Then, as soon as he’d wake up, Derek would grab the blanket, make a huge fuss of stuffing it in his laundry bag and generally be a dick about it.
When Stiles was unlucky, Derek would pull him down onto the couch, treat him like a teddy bear just long enough to make it awkward, then push them both off in a flurry of growly pissed-off werewolf misery.
Stiles didn’t feel very lucky tonight.
Involves an ill-advised scent blocker, and Derek drunk on aconite absinthe, followed by breakfast and (hopefully) smut.

Summary
Peter Parker always kind of thought that getting bitten by a spider in his teens and subsequently developing all sorts of non-human anatomy was the worst it was going to get for him. He couldn’t have been more wrong and he was one of the lucky ones.
The spider was just a shot over the bow, though. The foam on a wave from an ocean of shit that no one realized was coming until it was too late. Animals started to mutate, although scientists didn’t know how or why, or when. The biological changes were sudden, happening at an alarming rate, spreading to humans through bites and contaminated feces and who knew what else.
Then, humans began mutating on their own, without the nudge from the animal kingdom. And that’s when things got much, much worse. Like losing sentience worse.
It turns out that no one expects zombies.
OR
Peter Parker and Wade Wilson navigate zombies, religious extremists, and each other as they try to survive the apocalypse. What started as a kidnapping morphs into a weird bond between the two but sometimes it feels like only one of them can survive.
