Izuku was ecstatic when his quirk, "Shadow Walking", finally came in. He was less ecstatic when he was kidnapped, orphaned, and genetically modified at the hands of All For One because of that quirk.
Izuku was far, far less than ecstatic when he was turned into a permanent shadow.
But...damn it, was Izuku excited when he was saved from himself by Aizawa Shouta.

He found himself looking forward to their games, until one day, he got a shocking realization that Green was not only a child, but a bullied one, and suddenly he had someone to protect.
And if he taught the child how to take over the world in the process, well, he was Nedzu, after all.
