He almost immediately lands a month-long gig babysitting a very precocious Inkling boy, one he is vaguely familiar with due to him having a very impressive showing and participation in Turf Wars and Ranked Battles, despite only being 12 years old, and thus not fully turned into his proper "humanoid" form. He was informed by the parents that the boy also had a small fear of showers and baths, due to being splatted by full immersion in sea water well before he was old enough to even think about participating in turf wars, and even though he's both well aware that a shower or bath won't splat him, and has been splatted plenty during battles now, he still can't shake that fear. Therefore, he needs someone to bathe with him, to help him remain calm and not just avoid it.

Diluc grabbed his wrist, trying to slow him down, but Kaeya wouldn’t be deterred. Diluc was close, Kaeya could tell. Diluc's glazed eyes met his as Kaeya mouthed to him, “hold it.”
Diluc shook his head.
“Hold. It.” Kaeya mouthed again, his grin darkening as Diluc writhed beneath him.
“So, sit back, relax, and enjoy your meal. We’ll be checking in soon to prepare for landing.” Kaeya said before putting down the mic and flipping the switch off.
