This story is fanfic based on the web novel Worm by John C. McCrae and on The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells, with some ideas borrowed from other sources which will be listed as they become relevant. Note that this does take some liberties with various mythologies under the concept of people repeating oral histories and it getting a bit garbled after generations.
Concept came out of my Worm Turns. Had the first four chapters written and on the hard drive for awhile. Was going to wait for Worm Story Search to be working but here goes anyway.

In classic Worm style this story follows my OC waking up in the wormverse with the powers and skills he gained from the Worm CYOA v6, with a prime focus on tinkering his way through the story in an effort to un-grimdark, a very screwed up world. Will he succeed?......ehh probably, its fanfiction, the good guys usually win. Sorry, im terrible with descriptions, better explanation in the story inside.
