And yet, I want to keep his kindness for myself.
You told me I was welcome to write to you as often as I wished. I am sure you did not think I would do it in my first day of seclusion. But, I am helpless. My hands were drawn to paper and ink as soon as I settled for the night.I remind myself you are not mine to think of. I remind myself so often that the reminder becomes its own prayer. Do not look toward light that does not fall for you.
