Darry felt guilt seeping low in his gut. You two, implied that Soda was just as much Pony’s responsibility as he was. And he wasn’t. Sodapop was an adult. If it had just been Ponyboy and Soda then Pony would’ve been able to stay in college because Soda would be fine without a guardian.
