Summary
“Are you coming to dinner?” Rhodey asks, and Tony looks up from the paper he’s been working on for the past few hours. Steve, sitting next to him, moves the cold coffee out of his reach and nudges an apple into his hand.
“Can’t,” Tony says, regretfully. “I’ve got a hot date with a busty blonde.”
Rhodey pauses in the midst of gathering his books, cutting a worried look at Steve, who is busy making sure Tony can’t get his hands on the coffee cup. He doesn’t look too crushed, Rhodey things, and makes a mental note to talk to Tony about being a little more tactful in front of him.

“Which one is that?” Steve says softly, as if not to wake the sky.
“The North Star,” Tony whispers back. "Sailors used to follow it home.”
Not that that means anything to him. Steve Rogers is as impossible to reach as starlight, and Tony knows homes are things worth running from. Still- Stark men have always been desperate to ruin things on their own terms.
Or: Steve and Tony learn a lot in college, but mostly each other.

Summary
Tony invites Steve out for a coffee, and during their conversation, Steve starts to suspect that Tony's going to confess that he has feelings for him. This freaks Steve out, seeing as he's never even thought of Tony in that way, and is now going to have to reject him, possibly ruining their friendship forever. But when Tony confesses that he's got feelings for Thor, Steve's surprised to find that instead of being relieved, he's actually kind of. . . disappointed?

Summary
Still reeling from Tony and Natasha's deaths, Steve goes back to 2012, using his knowledge of the future to alter the timeline. This time, they'll stop Thanos without losing anyone. This time, he's going to do things right, whatever it takes.
What he failed to anticipate, however, was developing feelings for the one person who is strictly off-limits.
It should've been simple. All he had to do was keep the Avengers together, save the world, and not fall in love with Tony in the process. Instead, one change after another sends events spiraling off in a new and unpredictable direction. Now, the future he remembers is gone, and his meddling might just cost Tony the very thing he came back to protect.
