Ling Yao is a server at a Xingese restaurant, he’s charming and flirty and Everything Ed’s not.
Edward Elric is awkward and pining, hard. And when he’s injured, confined to a hospital bed, the paper Ling scrawled his number on is all he has to keep himself sane. when one visit becomes two, and two becomes a daily occurrence. Ed finds himself seriously infactuated by the supposed prince with black hair and bright eyes. There’s no way someone like him could like someone like him though… Right?Or:

It’s only as he’s being dragged through his gate that she sees it: twelve elements arranged in a circle, three lines of varying lengths drawn from the center to the top. The second hand ticks backward.

Summary
Once again, their father was praised for pulling some sort of miracles when he lived in Resembool. Edward scowled to himself, of course, if their jerk of a father hadn’t left, then maybe they wouldn’t be in this mess in the first place. Maybe he would have performed whatever the “miracle” everyone speaks of for his family. Then she wouldn’t die, she would be safe and they would be happy again. Just like it was before…when their Mother's smile was never forced. If Edward could just find him…he looked over to Alphonse who met his gaze and gave him a concerned look.
