In the quiet hours of the night, Jiang Cheng finds himself under a willow tree by a pond no one else visits. After everything, he only wanted silence. A place to rest. To disappear.
He didn’t expect anyone to be waiting there. Especially for someone like him. Despite this, a man in a silver and white robe is always waiting for him across the water's reflection. And he always comes back. Again and again.
They do not speak, not at first. But in the hush between two realms, something forms: a connection sewn together in quiet, small greetings and gentle presence of one another. Maybe this is what it feels like to belong, even if they could only do so from afar.
Some things can't be stopped no matter how hard you try. After all, the moon and the sea are inseparable...
