When Charles Leclerc enters his breakout season with Ferrari in 2019, all eyes are on his talent, and all heat is on Max Verstappen. From early podium battles to media-fueled tension, neither of them can keep their eyes or comments off each other. From the outside, it’s a decade-long war: elbows out, wheels locked, podiums traded. But behind closed doors (after the races and before the media calls) it’s a mess of missed glances, passive-aggressive Mario Kart and touches that linger too long. And in the chaos of the 2022 season, their lines blur.
TL;DR: A very slow-burn, and long fic of Lestappen where Charles is just trying to race to the best of his abilities and Max is there to be a pain in the ass on and off track. There's something bubbling between them, they don't speak about it, but don't ignore it either. Basically, if Max and Charles happen to fall in love while racing each other. Oh, and Carlos is there as jealousy fuel for Max.
