Basically, LQG gets transmigrated into a dogblood drama (the "dog-biting-dog" style melodramatic soap operas, hence "dogblood"), but just wants to cultivate and live happily with SY. If only these damn characters would get a hint and stop trying to drag him back into the plot!
Meanwhile, after being forcefully repatriated, SY uses all his superpowers as an avid trashy web-novel reader to try to predict what will happen and protect LQG from all the shitty tropes while also dealing with the realization that there’s been cultivation in the modern world this whole time!Not to mention the familiar-but-different faces popping up here and there…

“I’m in the middle of training,” Liu Qingge says in a clipped tone.
“That’s all right,” Shen Qingqiu says, flicking his fan in the air. “Go train, I’ll wait.”
Liu Qingge stares at him. “Wait?”
“Until you’re done, of course,” Shen Qingqiu says, as if it’s the most obvious thing. “I’ll find us some tea.”
Liu Qingge could have told Shen Qingqiu that his training would last all day. He could have informed him, brusquely, without care, that he dislikes having his rituals interrupted, that Shen Qingqiu would be waiting for the sun to cease its rise and fall, the mountains around them to crumble and fade.
Instead, he lets out a rush of air through his nose. “Fine. I will join you when I’m done.”
Shen Qingqiu’s face lights up, soft and pleased.

Summary
The flower disease isn't always fatal. The petal-crying variant, for example, is more often painful or embarrassing than deadly. Coughs can be suppressed with medicine. There’s not much to be done about the blood variant of the disease—that one’s nasty, as one would expect when someone has plant matter gunking up their veins—but meditation and regular qi infusions help tamp down symptoms of all kinds. Best-case scenario, the feelings, and the need to share them, fade in time, and then huzzah, problem solved.
…Or, the person processes their emotions and, instead of disgorging flowers, spews their secrets to the person who caused their ailment and thus returns to health pretty much instantly! (Or so people say, but that cure’s not very common. Wei Wuxian can’t imagine why.)

Nie Huaisang grinned up at him. “A-Cheng, will you go turn the lights out?”
“Turn them out yourself,” he replied, but he did grudgingly slide into the bed as Nie Huaisang did so. Nie Huaisang immediately curled up beside him, his head resting on Jiang Cheng’s shoulder. The glow of his phone and the glow of the tv screen were counterpoints, and the mandarin coming from the tv was lulling, even when the characters were waving swords at each other. Jiang Cheng took a moment to point out the bad sword grips of each of the actors - honestly, did no one think to consult actual cultivators on this? - and then let his eyes slip closed, sinking into Nie Huaisang’s ever-present warmth. He was still half-awake when Nie Huaisang sighed, put his phone down, and snuggled even closer to Jiang Cheng. Jiang Cheng slid an arm around him as the end credits ran for the drama.
(or: Nie Huaisang and Jiang Cheng fight a few monsters and spend a lot of time in Nie Huaisang's apartment, recuperating. Eventually, Jiang Cheng realises he should probably just move in.)

Jiang Wanyin scoffed as he watched. “Take us to his room,” he snapped at the innkeeper, and the man led the sect leaders and their first disciples to the room that had been Wei Wuxian’s.
The first thing Lan Wangji noticed was the red-black blood smeared on the floorboards, and then the black flute sitting in the centre of the room, innocuously still and plain.
(OR: Wei Wuxian is kidnapped. Somehow, this leads to Lan Wangji playing Chenqing, Jiang Wanyin revealing he thought they were already married, and a few love confessions.)
