Summary
Katara is eighteen, avoiding an arranged marriage to the only man her age in all the South pole who she’s not related to, and stumbles upon a man freezing in the ice.
He’s been abandoned by whatever ship he sailed on, and has no memory of where he comes from, who he is, or why he has stunning gold eyes when everyone else in the South Pole has gorgeous blue.
Even though he makes her heart flutter like nothing else before, Katara has a duty to her people. The neighboring tribe’s proposal would ensure her village survives the brutal winter, but she cannot stand her betrothed. Meanwhile, the stranger with amnesia needs to prove his worth to the village if he doesn’t want to be exiled for the sin of having the wrong colored-eyes.
They strike a deal. Help each other provide for the town, and he’ll get to stay until he remembers who he is, and Katara can avoid her marriage — at least for one more year.
But after a year together, fighting to survive the cold, how will they face his memories coming to the surface when someone else is found in the ice?
(AKA this is a slightly aged up gaang. Zuko has amnesia, lives in SWT for a year, and then joins the gaang early for events of the show. Zutara-centric.)

Summary
Senior Year Was Supposed To Be The Time Of His Life.
But changing schools and changing houses right before the first day has done a lot worse for his reputation than the scar on his face ever did. Now, Zuko has to start all over again while balancing his time at his uncle's tea shop, and he's not exactly feeling the senior spirit.

Katara had finally planned to step out of her friends' shadows, but she still feels like she can't catch up. Things only get worse when the new guy shows up with a scowl that does funny things to her heart, and a burn that's all too familiar.
It reminds her of what happened to her mom.
(An enemies to awkward friends to lovers fic about high school love, friendships, and hijinks with a backdrop of major angst because of TW: child abuse, drug use, war, and death. But I promise, it's mostly fun.)
Rating is for trigger warnings, Yue's past death, and potential steamy scenes.
