Summary
Left behind and torn to pieces, now nothing more than some defunct machinery in a scrapyard, there is little to do other than watch the seasons change as the world moves on without you.
Then, there he is. With a warmth in his eyes that astounds you and gentle hands that rove inside your chest cavity, dirt smudged on his cheek, tongue tucked between his teeth in concentration.
It makes no sense for him to take you. Still, he does.-
In the fractures of a world that's long moved on from them, maybe two broken relics can find some solace in each other.

There's a scream and a shout. He shoves the kid hard into safety and they both drop to the ground. Folding in on each other into the space under the pot. Rubble clattering down over top them and closing in their hiding place.
(this fic exists because I couldn't stop thinking about what it must have been like for chilchuck and mickbell hidding under that pot while the rest of their parties were attacked by fallin)
