Wirt finds himself very bored, he had taken the Beast's deal at being the new wood's man in exchange for the Beast to let Wirt save his brother from drowning
But with how little he has to do he has the idea to take up a new hobby of singing songs he can remember to try and wash out his boredom... And the almost human in-human groans and screams of pain the tree's make when he chops them down. Wirt is nervous to start singing but soon forgets that worry once he gets down to chopping, he finds it almost like his own kind of meditation... As horrible as that sounds.
But it appears that he's had an audience for quite some time now...
