Summary
Rather than respond, Genya let out a panicked wheeze before devolving into a horrible coughing fit. Sanemi dropped to his knees and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder as Genya’s body was racked with coughs. He heaved and retched and Sanemi dragged over the bucket, quickly shoving it into Genya’s hands just in time. He hears an awful gurgling in Genya’s chest as he coughs up something wet. The substance is bright red and frothy and coats the bottom of the bucket in a horrific splatter.
Sanemi’s heart stopped in his chest. Blood. His baby brother was coughing up blood.

Summary
Years ago, Stan Pines died under strange circumstances. His body was found, funerals happened, Pa was too ashamed to show up, Shermie too busy, Ma went... so did Ford...
And Ford learned a lot while at the funerals, more than he would have liked to. Like the fact his brother lived out of his car, of all places... At least, the car gave him a way to summon his brother's spirit, to talk one last time! Or it should have. It never worked... Ford kept the car anyways, for old times' sake.
In other news, a little over 30 years later, 13 year old Mabel Pines came back to Gravity Falls a year after her brother stayed back there for an "apprenticeship" with their great uncle Ford or whatever... Meaning she was alone to face their parents' divorce. And even now, her brother ignored her for his "anomalies". No big deal. None at all... Not at all the reason why she tried to leave the home at 1 am, only to be met with a homeless-looking ghost with no memories who decided to haunt her.
At least the nameless ghost is a good friend to prank Gravity Falls with!

Summary
“And why should I-” Ford begins to say, anger building ever hotter, before somehow Stanley manages to shock Ford once again. Stan reaches behind him and pushes a kid forward from where he’d apparently been hiding just out of sight.
A kid.
A child, really.
A kid who looks a little familiar. Something about the shape of his nose. It reminds Ford of his mom, in a way. And the hair reminds him of his dad. And Stanely has this kid. That is with him. Right now. On Ford’s porch in Gravity Falls.
“Stanley,” Ford says, in a rush that screams he should’ve finished drinking his coffee before answering the door, “You have-”oOo
Ford's research is interrupted by his estranged brother showing up on his doorstep with a kid who claims to be time traveller. Meanwhile in the present, Stan and Mabel try to figure out how to get Dipper back to the right time. There will be secrets revealed, old wounds readdressed, and above it all a one-eyed demon watches with interest.
