Summary
For the Hobbit Reverse Big Bang, 2014:
In the Shire, the biggest event of the year is always the Harvest Festival, filled with toys, games, haggling, dances, and ale. But every three years were known among the Hobbits as the Dwarf Festival, when the dwarves could come down from the Blue Mountains and haggle for goods while selling their own wondrous creations. There was always a proper decorum upheld, of course, between two such different races. It was all about business between the Hobbits and the Dwarves.
At least, it was until a young Dwarf named Bofur made the acquaintance of one Master Bilbo Baggins, of Bag End. Then it became all about...baking?

Summary
Every writer needs a good coffee shop, and Bilbo Baggins thinks the little family-owned place in the center of downtown is just the environment he needs to help him write his book - an epic tale of unexpected adventures and the like. But when he runs into a combination of insecurity, writer's block, and family squabbles, he'll need more than the café's homey ambiance to fuel his creativity.
Luckily for him the proprietor, Bofur, is more than happy to cheerfully edit for him in return for Bilbo's tasting of his increasingly inventive recipes. And before he knows it editing turns into friendship which turns into something more, and while Bilbo doesn't really know what's hit him he's more than up for an adventure of his own.

Summary
We all know Bofur wants to make Bilbo happy, but could growing too close make him the person who ends up hurting Bilbo the most? Can a hobbit and a dwarf who have survived war live happily together in the gossip-ridden Shire, or is Erebor where they truly belong?
What I find most interesting about Bilbo and Bofur as a couple, at least from a writing standpoint, is just how many potential problems their relationship has. Cultural/class/species differences, vastly different personalities, disapproval from friends and neighbors, Bilbo's trauma over Erebor, Bofur's questionable drinking habits, and of course, Bilbo having the One Ring. Add a few unexpected misfortunes here and there, and there could be some really compelling drama to be explored.
This is my take on a more realistic Domestic Boffins story, but don't worry. There's still going to be plenty of fluff and humor throughout!

If you accidentally (see: due to poor planning and preparation) end up shopping on the most stressful day of the year, perhaps the only thing that could make it better is finding someone to lead the way.

Summary
“Although your vulgarities are entertaining, woman, I will have you explain one thing. I recall that when you extended your offer for me to stay here, you explicitly stated not to do anything naughty. Yet why do you talk of nothing else?”
“You actually listened to me back then?” she giggled, before coming to some sort of epiphany.
“Hold up! Are you telling me you’ve tried being a gentleman all this time?” she asked.
Since she had drawn the wrong conclusion, Vegeta would set the record straight for her.
Faster than she could follow his movements, he shot up from his seat to stand across from her. He trapped her by placing his hands on the kitchen counter behind her, her hips bumping against his inner-forearms. She drew in a sharp breath, pushing her chest out, and stared at him with her big, blue eyes.
“I assure you, I’ve been trying no such thing,” he growled.
OR: We all love a three-year-gap fic, amirite?
