  Summary

  The country of Prodia was a small one, although rich in kingdoms and towns. The largest was the Old Kingdom, ruled by four powerful mages. Very far northeast of that was the New Kingdom, home to many wizards and witches, but ruled by none. In between the bustling cities lay the large, empty valley of the wastes. Those barren lands had no ruler, save for a cannibalistic fox who used cruel and unfair deals to control the few towns within the land.

  On the western edge of the Wastes sat the town of Irving, home to a young lamb named Waylon. They lived and worked in their late father’s yarn shop, alongside their stepmother. Almost a year ago, all their older siblings moved out, and Waylon’s life had begun to feel rather empty. Going through the same routine each day, until one morning they overhear frantic whispers from the other workers. It's hard to hear, but Waylon manages to parse unsettling rumors of the fox’s whereabouts, and perhaps someone else.
