Days passed, or perhaps months. Years. He didn’t know anymore. What was real? What was just a dream? The only thing he knew was real, the only thing that kept coming back, was it. A creature so evil that even the gods' worst imagination couldn’t conjure it up.
Every day, it came back.
Every day, it purred how might I carve you up today, little princling?
Every day, it would chain him to the stone slab. It was very creative. Red hot poker, hooks, blades, needles. And Nico would scream and scream and scream as the hot poker met skin, the smell of burning flesh filling the air. Sometimes he burrowed deep into his mind, so deep that even the pain was a distant thing. Sometimes he imagined shoving that pain in a box. But many times, it didn’t work. And he would feel it, every bit of excruciating agony. Until he blacked out. And woke up back in the box. Nico only knew it was real because of the scars that remained.
OR Nico gets tortured, and Will has to help him heal. Fic is better than summary!
