Summary
Ooo is a land of scars. Over one thousand and thirty-eight years after the devastating Mushroom War destroyed the world that was and planted the seeds for a land of magic and monsters to bloom amidst the wastes of apocalypse, a bright-eyed young adventurer becomes the latest in a long line of heroes who define this wacky world. Macadamia the Nut, student of the Huntress Wizard, is now a full-fledged ranger, protecting Ooo from things that go bump in the night — when she’s not studying for school, that is. With the help of her close friend and confidant(e), Robin the Rainicorn-Dog, she feels more than ready to step up and challenge the evils that fester in the world she calls home. This is her story — or, at least, a very important part of it.
But not all scars are created equal, and some still weep. Ancient wounds that once reshaped the world threaten to do so again, and Macy and Robin will soon find themselves embroiled in a fight that’s much bigger than either of them signed up for. Not that knowing would have stopped them.

Summary
Ooo is a land of heroes. Nearly one thousand and thirty-eight years after the devastating Mushroom War brought down empires and leveled nations, a new hero seeks to one day etch her name into the annals of history. Macadamia the Nut, along with her rainicorn-dog friend Robin V., is a hero in training, apprenticing under Huntress Wizard to learn the ways of the wild and of how best to guard the delicate balance of the world. She grew up on stories of heroes like Huntress Wizard and her boyfriend, Finn Mertens. In time, she herself will inspire more heroes after her. But this is not that story. Not yet, at least.
For now, this is the story of how Macy and Robin started to grow into the heroes they would one day become, and of how they saved the world for the second — and not final — time.
