King Rhaegar has not abandoned Jon to mercy of Ned Stark.
Rhaegar in story is not as stupid as in books but he still makes mistakes.
This is not Rhaegar versus Robert story. Events of this story are very different from GOT. There will be no "War of five kings'.
Jon Snow as Azor Ahai will have very different powers and duties than in GOT. In this story Targaryens don't accept Rhaegar's marriage with Lyanna so Jon Snow is not a legit Targaryen. -
