    More details on this what-if:
    Evernight Goddess failed to separate the "Curtain" from Klein, but still succeeded in preventing him from becoming the Celestial Worthy the moment he was born with it. Therefore, even though Klein has all the Beyonder characteristics up to Sequence 1 and can count as an Archangel, he lacks many abilities and isn't aware he himself is an Angel.

    The merman's hands are bound in thick ropes, even from this distance he can see that the powerful, glimmering tail is tightly constricted in a space too small and cruel for something so unearthly, his muscular torso that is peppered with shimmering scales and tail are bound in barbed wires, making the deities every movement and breath push barbs deeper into his skin, threatening to peel of scales, it’s a stark contrast to the freedom of the sea he belongs to, and it’s an admonition of the cruelties of humans, no other species could be so inhuman to cause this damage.

     

    TLTR: The foxes are pirates who meet Neil the merman and have some adventures together while facing their common enemy

But it never did he looked at her and she was just standing there, as if waiting for him to look at her then retracting her hand she smiled again and waved goodbye moving back to the next person signing in. That was when Neil decided, the outside world was strange.

    It was cold. Hot at the same time. He could hear someone softly speaking to him. Shen Yuan couldn’t make out the words that were being spoken to him but he felt as though he should trust this person. His body felt warm, unnaturally so. A fever? He should be used to those. So why did his body feel like it was experiencing one for the first time? He couldn’t open his eyes. The light hurt too much for him to bear. He curled in on himself, barely noticing how his body was too small to be his. He felt arms envelop him, a hand gently stroking his hair. That’s weird, when did his hair get so long? He doesn’t know. There was a voice humming to him, comforting as he sank back into sleep.
