Summary
Harry's sixth year ends with the Dark Lord's sudden takeover. He lets Harry live, which leads Hermione to the horrible truth: he is a horcrux. At the start of year seven Harry struggles with classmates hunting him, his sudden ability to send pain through Dark Marks, and Tom Riddle's voice inside his head...
When members of the Order get him back, they try to separate him from the horcrux. The opposite happens: a merge, and the voice is silenced. It seems to change Voldemort's approach: though still a ruthless bastard he insists he cares about him, like he cares for Nagini... After yet another reckless escape attempt, Harry's hateful teacher Snape surprises him by helping him to fight in a different way.
~Gen, dystopia. I took up the challenge of creating a slow-burn, realistic mentorship between Harry and Snape, as well as between Harry and Voldemort (though he's still evil!). Here you'll find grey characters, moral ambiguity and lots of action. One reviewer on KYEC: The plot is thrilling and well thought-out, and your characterisations are spot-on.
