“Everyone…” Riddle whispered, shaky hand reaching out towards Cater’s phone. “Please…let me see…”
The seven of them gave each other a look, but Trey finally relented when Kate gave him a grim nod. Trey handed the phone over to Riddle, who took it and read what everyone else did. A ringing sound filled his ears as he read the news article, and it became hard for him to breathe. The noise from the party faded into the background, and even Trey’s voice sounded muffled. He looked up to see the others reaching for him and shouting his name, but he could no longer hear and they all looked blurry. Why were they blurry? His cheek felt wet and he raised a hand to it. Oh. Tears. I’m…crying. His vision faded as he collapsed to the ground, Cater’s phone falling out of his hand, cries of his names ringing in the air. Cater’s phone still shone brightly as the others surrounded him, showing off a news article titled “Disgraced Medical Doctor Annabelle Rosehearts Escape From Jail”.

“Mind if I touch you?” Lighter murmurs, cheek brushing against Wise’s hair. “Just on the chin.”
Wise can’t help from smiling. Work is work so he’s used to a lot of inconveniences—people doing as they like with him, people being rude, people assuming things without his permission—but Lighter’s proving to be a breath of fresh air in such a short amount of time.
He’s not a professional model, but he’s standing out as one of the best coworkers Wise has had so far.
“I like your initiative,” he murmurs, head tilting away from the camera. “Go on, touch me.”
Wise is used to the hardships of modeling, but that doesn't mean he doesn't dislike it when his model partners bail on him.

Wise goes to spend a weekend with Lighter, leaving Random Play in Belle's care. By the evening, things seem good, until they are very much not. Lighter's willing to die to make sure Wise is okay, and Wise goes through hell from one of Lighter's enemies from his past. Belle pulls in help from her friend who Lighter knows well enough, an executive officer of Section Six while Billy and Nicole show up as well in Blazewood to do what they can.
