Summary
Wylan is half asleep when he feels the first touch, a gentle pressure on the curve of his shoulder, a light scratch that swoops down over his flesh. He's used to the feeling by now, used to Jesper dragging the ink across his skin, covering him in nonsensical words - the darker boy's fingers brushing over him, smearing the ink in patches, his lips hovering in a breath of a kiss that never quite connects no matter how badly he wants it to. He closes his eyes and tries to breathe, he bites his tongue and tries to keep as still as he can, because sometimes saying nothing at all is better than all the words that could get tangled between them.

Summary
The truth is something simple, delicate and small and yet so big it seems to fill the room when Jesper stares at Wylan over his teacup while she’s serving breakfast.

Summary
Kaz is prepared to bribe the owners of the other gambling halls not to admit him—he’s prepared to send some of the younger Dregs to beat Jesper to a mild pulp every time he tries to enter the Barrel, if necessary—but he hopes it won’t come to that. If you could beat an addiction out of someone, Jesper would have been cured years ago.
“What, then? Spit it out.”
The other man pauses at the window, staring out at the rain, and swallows before finally saying, “Wylan asked me to marry him.”

Summary
It’s not that Yuri thinks Victor is a big fat liar. It just, well, Yuri thinks Victor is a big fucking liar.
“The Sun,” Yuri repeats for the fifth time that day. “You’re engaged to the Sun.”
--
a (slightly confusing and annoyingly sappy) account of Victor Nikiforov's engagement to the Sun, as narrated by #1 employee Yuri Plisetsky
