No longer a raven, a dark-skinned woman with a deep purple suit and large spectacles sat at a desk in the library which had no end, reading a parchment scroll. It took her some time to realise that the plop of raindrops against the windowpane sounded wrong.
The weather in the Dreaming reflects Dream’s mood, which sometimes results in very odd “rain”. A look at Lucienne during some of these times.

In his dream, they walked down the beach as the golden sunset faded, until they found the boat. The bow was facing out to sea. Hob had never sailed a boat like this one in life, but he knew in the way of dreams it was barely beached. The next tide would lift it out to sea.
"Oh, don't worry about that," said the pavement artist. "I'll see you off."
"You're not coming with us?" He had not known, until he said those words, that he was leaving. The big man shook his head.
Hob climbed in. His friend had already laid down below the gunwhale, curled on his side with his back pressed to the wood, his black robes a nest around his head. Not a corpse laid out for a Viking funeral, but a tired man who would not stir until morning.
It's going to be a long trip, in his dreams. In waking life Hob regrets the past, worries about the future, and wonders what story he's in.

Summary
A rewrite of my story Percy Jackson Son of the Sea.
In one universe Percy Jackson is raised by his human mother Sally Jackson, and his father plays no role in child rearing. However, that universe is not this one. In this universe Sally Jackson dies when Percy is an infant. This causes Poseidon to decide to raise Percy in the human world.
This story contains a mixture of book canon, TV show canon, and my own ideas. Therefore, scenes and elements in this story might not go in the direction you expect.
