Floyd didn’t speak. He just held him. Listening.
“So every time you say it, I—I don’t know what to do with it. I don’t know how to hold it properly. It feels like… like if I say it back, I have to be something. Something perfect. Something good enough to deserve it.”
He blinked rapidly, the pressure behind his eyes building. “And I know you don’t think like that. I know it’s not conditional for you, but… I haven’t unlearned it yet.”
“I don’t say it,” Riddle whispered, “because I don’t want to say it wrong. Or say it when I’m scared, or not sure, or trying to be someone I’m not.”
“I want to say it when I can’t not say it. When it’s real. When it feels like mine.”

Idia stared. “Y-you’re serious?”
“I wouldn’t have asked if I weren’t.” Riddle looked completely unbothered, calm as ever. “Name something of equal value, and I’ll consider it.”
Idia should’ve stopped there, should’ve shrugged and let it go. But his mouth was faster than his brain.
“I dunno,” he mumbled. “You could do a hentai scenario or something. Sit in my lap and tutor me like some forbidden-study-session fantasy.”
