He felt his body tense up right before he completely froze.
The situation he was in hit him all at once. How he was standing there in front of a crowd, hugging the man who he had spent the past few months convincing himself, meant nothing to him.
He didn’t understand what was happening or what he was feeling. Of course, part of the situation made sense to him. He wasn’t a completely heartless monster, so he wasn’t questioning why he felt panic at the thought of Dan hurting himself or, even worse, dying.
