Summary
She’d deposit the journal in the drawer and wait only a minute before it clunked back inside her desk. In between messages, she’d check the drawer and find it empty, meaning he was physically removing the notebook from his end, then sending it back to her. A vanishing drawer. Ingenious and tricky.
