“Come now, sweetheart, it won’t be so bad,” Sukuna almost purred, fingers tilting Megumi’s chin up to look the curse in the eyes. “You’ve already entrusted me with your body and soul, what harm will there be in letting me have your heart as well?”
Megumi doesn’t have the strength to say it would be everything. It was the last bit of him given away to a cursed spirit who didn’t—couldn’t—really care for him. That he had given everything else to Sukuna, through threats and whispered promises and danger, why did he have to give up the very last bit of himself that was only his.
But Megumi didn’t want to die.

“They weren’t interesting enough to keep,” Sukuna says, spelling out the obvious.
