“Umm. Okay. So, as you know, this all started because of my pendant,” Liko began, anxiously fiddling with the pendant hanging around her neck. She spun the chain around her fingers idly, forcing herself to focus on the shimmering patterns the necklace held rather than how cute Dot looked right now. “..well, I met friends. A sort of family, you know? And I met Sprigatito, my partner,” as if on cue, Sprigatito began to purr loudly and nuzzle its owner’s cheek. “..but, um, I also met.. well, you.” explained the young trainer, squeezing her eyes shut as if that would take away the rejection she assumed would come soon after her confession.
“And I think- wait, n-no, I know- that I like you!” stuttered Liko anxiously, her shoulders tensing up as she refused to meet Dot’s gaze, bracing herself for the worst.
