Summary
Like so many families in Panem, the Masons deal with the horrors of the Hunger Games by ignoring them as much as possible. The eldest child of the family, Johanna, knows she wouldn't stand a chance if her name was chosen. She can't even handle a few school bullies, let alone 23 other tributes! However, when she befriends the new girl in town, Johanna begins to learn a few tricks for keeping herself safe. Over time, she comes to know more than she ever would have imagined from her new friend.

Summary
Melanie and Ruth have been tasked with planning and executing the perfect sweet sixteen birthday party (sorry, "event") by Lilah and Robert Folger. After several meetings, a lot of hard work, and one narrowly avoided disaster on the night, both are pleased to finally shed their teals and heels and relax.
Pre-canon. Largely friendship/potential for romantic friendship rather than romance. Haven't started working on it yet, but potential for a second chapter.

She has no idea if anything she's saying will pick up on the old camera at the foot of the bed. Doesn't really matter.
