Lestat took his hands, both of Louis hands between his own. Wide hands, their use necessary for holding hunting tools, weapons to tame his rural mortal existence; essential survival use. Years before he touched a piano. Years, no, more than one century, before they had touched him. They encompassed his own; talented, long fingers both loosening and tightening in an uncoordinated way. His lips compressed, and his eyes roving his face, fixed on his mouth and back to his eyes, his hairline and again, unmoored. Almost a century ago it would have been bold, uncompromisingly sexual. Now, it was yearning; a clearer more raw message he could not have spoken. His red rimmed eyes shifted off of Louis and he stood, urging the same movement from Louis through their linked hands.

Summary
You've been with Gabrielle, your Maker, for almost forty years, and you understand that sometimes she likes a few months to travel alone. “If you were really Lestat, you would have said something stupid about me tossing you into bed,” Louis accused.
“I did not wish to aggravate you, cher.”
“Funny. You like to aggravate. You live to aggravate.”
Lestat looked down at his hands. Broad palms, strong body, but he could feel the weaknesses in it. His joints – breaking points designed to fold a body down into component parts. Soft, easily crushed flesh, blood pooling as easily as squeezing a wet sponge. A heart that was responsible for more than just beating in time with Louis’.

Summary
So, they had a fight. Big deal, won't be the first and it certainly won't be the last. Lestat is not moping at home over it. He's not apprehensive at all about Louis coming home or them fighting again. Of course not.
But wait! Louis is home! And Louis...is beaming at him? And he's kissing him like he can't get enough of him!
What is happening?Or Lestat discovers that Louis can be quite affectionate when he's drunk.
