Summary

It doesn’t take new residents, as no one has successfully moved in for over a year in recent memory. Except of course, for Rio Vidal, who works as a waitress for Wanda’s, one of only three real restaurants in the areas.
When her neighbor, Evanora Harkness, gets put on hospice, her estranged daughter shows up at her door. The town is skeptical of her. Rio is intrigued, perhaps even enamored.
She is also the first real lawyer the town has seen in a while, and she quickly makes a name for herself. Eventually though, she will find herself defending Lilia Calderu in a court of law. But for what? What led either of them there? Who would get them out?
And what did it have to do with Rio?
