One minute, she was settling down, a glass of sake in hand and a pen in the other because there were stars glinting over the night sky and it made her itch to talk to Jihyo, the next the words Some days I miss you so much I imagine you’re just out on a walk at the beach and all I have to do is wait for you to come back to me were staring up at her. Then she read over the whole thing again — discovered the most ardent of sentences, placed one after another on the page, wrapped up in all of the longing she contained within herself — and buried her head in her hands for almost fifteen minutes because she was mortified.
(Not because the words existed, but because they managed to make their way out. She’s known they’ve been building up inside her from the minute she started revolving around Jihyo like a distant planet quietly enamored with a blazing star)
