Summary
Bucky gets tortured. Sam gets pissed. There's a hearfelt conversation at some point and a surplus of bickering. All in all, it's Sam and Bucky doing what they do best.
Or, Bucky may have been an assassin for seventy years, but he was a big brother before that. A protector. I just wanted to write a little something about how that might bleed into the relationship he has with Sam, as well as his background as a counselor.

When he first receives the part, the Asset does not allot much time to examining it. He’s had many adaptations made to him, most reversed eventually when they do not function as they should. This is no different. In fact, this part is hidden, tucked away under clothes, and creates no obvious distraction during missions. The Asset he sees no cause to look for trouble with it when there is none.
He doesn’t give his attention to it until it starts to bleed.or
HYDRA outfits their Asset with a vagina and uterus. Bucky has to deal with that fact.

“What is there to talk about? You know now. That’s the end of it.”
The sentence was spit out with what sounded like anger, but Sam knew what that looked like on Bucky. And this wasn’t it.
Bucky’s eyes were shut tight, his nails digging into his palms so hard the shaking had started up again. His jaw wobbled as he ground his teeth, the sound painful to listen to.
“Bucky this… it wasn’t in your files.” Sam said, fumbling for words as his eyes stung. He didn’t know how this hadn't come up on anyone’s radar, especially back when the Avengers were tackling The Winter Soldier case. Of course Hydra would have used him for more than just fighting their wars… But Sam hadn’t even considered something like this.
