Summary
After the shitshow that was the battle at Adamant Fortress, a very angry and hurt Fenris arrives at Skyhold. Unbeknownst to him, Ava Hawke isn't the same person she was when she left him behind. Will he forgive her? Or was leaving him behind the last straw?
Josephine proposes hosting a ball to celebrate their victory, to appease the Orlesian and Ferelden nobilities that support their cause. However, they don't expect someone within their own walls to be watching Hawke from the shadows, and will stop at nothing to gain her affections.
Elsewhere, Varric is having too much fun teasing Curly about his budding relationship with Evie.

He thought of the look she would send him as he walked into the Great Hall, the way her gaze always found his and held for a tiny, infinitesimal moment before she was either drawn back into conversation, or completed whatever eating-or-drinking action she’d been midway through, or—beautifully, disastrously—sent a tiny smile over at him.
The shiver that wracked through him had nothing to do with the goosebumps pricking along his entire body. The ache in his groin was unending.
Fuck.
He stepped under the spray.
