  Starscream fell into a bad predicament one day after letting Skyfire go. Being seen as a traitorous act by Megatron, was punished, and left at the mercy of the autobots. He was left blinded from his punishment and kinda forced to trust others to be his set of eyes, more specifically Skyfire.
