“Sam,” Cas said softly, voice blanked by the darkness of the room, “Is it okay if I touch you?”
Sam felt the breath leave his body. He hadn’t felt this vulnerable in a long time, and it wasn’t just because he wasn’t wearing six million layers, it was because he was on the precipice of either letting Cas help him or committing to figuring it out on his own. He’d been figuring things out on his own for so long, and he really was so so tired.
So he nodded.
