Changkyun let go of anything relating to love except for himself and his dad. He focused on school and he graduated with flying colors. He didn't make any friends nor any relationships during this time. He became a cardiologist at the young age of 25, to which he's proud of.
It was easy, focusing on things that matters the most. And love does not count.
Or, Changkyun never believed in love, not one bit. Kihyun is the nurse that's determined to make him change his mind. Slowly but surely.

He looked up at his savior, eyebrows furrowing in confusion when his eyes landed on Kihyun himself. They stared at each other for a few seconds before Kihyun spoke once again, "This man bothering you, baby?"
Changkyun's cheeks heated up, tongue tied and unable to talk. He can feel Kihyun's arm on his waist, which made it even harder for him to speak.
"You know him?" The guy asked Kihyun.
"Know him? He's my boyfriend," He pinched Changkyun's side softly, like a sign for him to get on with what's happening.
Or, freshman Changkyun was being bothered by a stranger in a frat party. His knight in shining armor came in the form of Yoo Kihyun, the frat president.

He's right, Changkyun is harboring a crush on someone, and that someone happens to be the guy in front of him. Yoo Kihyun, star basketball player of their university basketball team. He feels pathetic at first, because he doesn't want to be associated with the girls (and guys) who worships the land Kihyun walks on. Okay maybe that's kind of harsh, but Changkyun's point is that Kihyun is famous and a lot of students like him.
That's just fancy talk for "I don't have a fucking chance with him and I should stop being delulu,"
Or, a college au where Changkyun is a student council officer tasked to do a marriage booth, Kihyun is the star basketball player that everyone likes. However, something is stopping him from participating in the marriage booth...
