Summary
Officer Edwards’ face twisted up in a gruesome display of pain in his final choking seconds of death. The same twisting churning black tendrils stretched up through his body and came out of his mouth with a sudden gush of blood and bile that dripped down the length of his uniform. The illumination of the lantern gave this haunting horrific situation a macabre spotlight before the writhing black mass released the limp lifeless body from its clutches. It slumped in a dead weight to the floor at the monster's feet.
The cold rumble of a familiar voice was twisted into a malicious mockery of the man he loved. “If he didn't want to die, then he shouldn't have stood in my way.”
Menacing red eyes turned from the twitching corpse at its feet towards Chris where the soldier was frozen firmly in place. They widened, surprised at first before a cold smile that promised nothing pleasant warped familiar features. His name came out like a deeply satisfied purr. “Christopher? Oh how I've missed you.”

Summary
Laying there, Stu was pretty sure should've hurt.
It probably did, but then again, he really couldn't be sure. It’d hurt when it actually fell and it felt fucking heavy and his body felt like it was on fire, but he couldn't tell if it hurt. He couldn't even remember what “hurt” was supposed to feel like.
Stu was dimly aware of how bad of a sign that was.

They couldn’t believe it worked. Stu and Billy had gotten away with it. They’d gotten to the fourth act, and nobody had suspected a thing.
So, Billy was lounging in their dorm. Usually he’d have a movie playing, but he’d finally gotten bored of whatever VHS tapes they’d had and switched to the TV, stopping on one of the channels. The title? “Murder on Campus.” Something particular the guy was holding.. a Ghostface mask. “Stu! Woulda come take a look?”
