Summary
Lila Rossi has it out for Marinette, and nobody can see it. One day she goes too far and Marinette transfers schools to get away from it all. Most of her old friends are siding with Lila, and Marinette has never felt so alone.
After reluctantly making new friends, Marinette begins to heal. It's a long process involving a lot of setbacks, but she is strong and has friends on her side who won't abandon her, no matter what.
This is the story about how Marinette reclaims her life, and grows a little bit in the process.

“So you’re saying I need to get laid now?”“I’m saying you could definitely benefit by getting laid,” Kuroo says with a shrug. “Nothing else.”
“What does that even mean?”
“All I’m saying is,” Kuroo says, locking his phone and pocketing it, “Keep it in mind whenever you get a little… pent up.”
Tooru scoffs, furrowing his eyebrows as he replies, “I’m not that desperate.”
“Yet.”
“I’m not that desperate,” Tooru repeats.
“Yet,” Kuroo echoes firmly.

He adjusted his tie, stood, and looked down at Peter. “I’ll ask you again,” he said. “Eventually. You may feel differently after you’ve been living in a six-by-six cube without sunlight or fresh air for a few years.”
“What pawns do,” Peter said, voice shaking slightly, “is sacrifice themselves for the greater good. I have no regrets.”
